Hello The Guardian !

I am Nanaui Amoros, a graphic designer, based between Brazil and France.


For the last three years I have been working

at an environmental news outlet where I was able to grow as a multimedia content producer and creator.


Here is a bit about what I love to do.

Multimedia content manager


For the Latin America desk of Dialogue Earth, an Independent non-profit dedicated to producing environmental journalism and informed conversations on urgent climate and sustainability topics across the Global South

Maps

• Create guidelines for all maps in the organisation (as it rebranded from 4 different websites into one) with special care to accessibility and representation of Global South countries.


• Read the article briefs to anticipate which stories will need maps.


• Research, design and work with the editors to tweak the maps.

Charts

• Create guidelines for all charts in the organisation with special care to accessibility and respect of the brand (colours, fonts, etc.).


• Read the article briefs to anticipate which stories will need charts.


• Receive the data, clean and prepare it to be imported into Flourish.


• Decide which type of chart works best to get the message across, design and work with the editors to tweak the charts.


Annotated satellite images

• Read the article briefs to anticipate which stories will need annotated satellite images.


• Research, design and work with the editors to tweak the images.


Social media content

• Help translating the brand style into guidelines for social media posts.


• Commission and produce multimedia for social media posts.


• Design posts and check others designs to make sure the style is respected throughout the dissemination platforms.


• Adjust maps, illustrations, charts and videos for social media posts.
